We have some very exciting news. Goldenrod Pastries is going to start serving today, November 29nd! The shop opens at 10 AM, and we’ll start serving lunch at 11 AM. To celebrate this new chapter, we’re offering it absolutely free that day. We’ll be featuring a sweet and spicy butternut squash soup . You’re welcome to stay and try it in the shop or take it to go.
The squash was grown by local farming queens, The Darlin’ Reds.
We pride our business on reaching out to other Lincoln natives for our shop supplies as much as possible. The Darlin’ Reds are a fabulous farming duo located northwest of the city. They use careful, organic farming methods to ensure that their crops are as fresh and healthy as possible. If you ever wanted to have an in-depth conversation about leeks, these are your gals. They have a serious passion for agriculture that goes beyond making a profit. Margaret and Erin met while they were both working at the Community Crops Training Farm and have been operating their own CSA and whole sale accounts ever since. It’s an absolute pleasure to partner with these hard-working, enthusiastic women.
We can’t wait to see you for lunch today and hear your feedback! Thank you for supporting us and the agricultural community.
