Goldenrod will celebrate it’s two year birthday in a month, and with that Danielle will celebrate her two years of working at Goldenrod! Our Sweet of the Month has been with the bakery ever since Angela recruited her a few weeks after the bakery opened.
Danielle fell in love with baking ever since she was “tall enough to bake” with her love centered around baking beautiful things for people to eat. After attending a pastry school in Portland, Oregon in 2003, she became the executive pastry chef at Papa Haydn (also in Portland) for seven years.
Being a mom of two little boys, a wife, and dog-mom to a 10-year-old pug name Oliver, Danielle is busy whenever she isn’t creating scrumptious treats as Assistant Manager at Goldenrod. She loves hanging with her boys, cooking (current obsession is Thai food), gardening at home and hiking when she can. Zion National Park has stolen her heart, due to the incredible scenery and the nice weather, but she would love to visit more national parks.
Next time you stop in to Goldenrod, make sure you say hello! You can often find her decorating cakes or munching on a berry linzer bar – her favorite treat. Danielle is part of the dynamic duo that is Angela and Danielle, and is an amazing addition to the Goldensquad – we are so lucky to have her!
