03-13-2020: We are updating our policies regarding order cancelations due to the uncertainty around coronavirus and COVID-19. We respect your decisions to alter plans and want to work with you to find another time to celebrate. Please reach out to us via email with any questions // email@example.com or firstname.lastname@example.org
- Regarding custom orders: We can work with you to reschedule your custom orders in this uncertain time. As a small business, we are not in a position to offer full refunds for your orders, but we will honor your order for a later date that works for both you, and for Goldenrod. All order changes need to be made at least 48 hours in advance. As bakers, we work 48 hours in advance to order supplies and start some production, so we will plan on making your order as scheduled if you have not canceled within 48 hours.
- Your order if the bakery closes: Barring your cancelation, we will make your order as requested with a pre-arranged pick-up time. Your cake will be delivered to your car by one employee and the store will remain closed otherwise.
- Weddings and large contracted events: If the postponement of your wedding occurs due to caution surrounding the coronavirus, Goldenrod Pastries will hold your deposit and all subsequent payments if already made for 6 months from the original wedding date. If a new wedding date is chosen within this 6 month time frame that works for both the client and Goldenrod Pastries, Goldenrod Pastries will apply all funds towards the new order. If a new date is not reached within the 6 month time frame, no refunds will be given. If the client wishes to plan a wedding further out than 6 months, a new order will be started from scratch, and a new deposit must be made. If Goldenrod Pastries is forced to close due to government regulation during the scheduled time for your wedding, the client will be notified as soon as possible, and we will work towards a solution that best suits the situation.
